-----
I've been getting requests for a few months now to do a 100 facts about me so I took some time to decide on my top 100. It took me a few weeks to write out this list so I'll be releasing 20 a week for the month of May so here we go.
100. I'm right handed.
- When I was younger I tried to write, throw, and bat left handed. That didn't work out too well.
99. I was born on September 23.
- This date also signifies 99 days left in the year.
98. I was born in Manila, Philippines.
- Made in the Philippines. Quality.
97. I can speak Tagalog fluently.
- My mom took the time to teach my brother and I growing up. She told us that she would say something to us in Tagalog then repeat it in English. Every sentence. Imagine doing that non-stop throughout a childhood.
96. I moved to Seattle, WA with my mom when I was two years old.
- My dad had moved ahead to get established while our paperwork was being processed. Shortly after my mom and I followed.
95. I only have one sibling, my younger brother, Robbie.
- He and I are so opposite! Only person in the world who truly has my back. I'll die making sure nothing ever happens to him.
94. My favorite number is 23.
- My birthday and of course, Michael Jordan. I wore this number on my soccer jersey.
93. I played the piano and trumpet growing up. I wasn't very good at either.
- I really do want to learn how to play the piano though. Currently looking for a teacher patient enough to teach someone who doesn't know how to read notes.
92. My favorite color is blue.
- My favorite Ninja Turtle growing up was Leonardo and he wore blue. I wear more blacks, grays, and whites though.
91. I took Japanese class as a junior in high school just so I could go on the class trip to Japan.
- That trip cost $2500. Well worth it.
90. I forced myself to learn how to use chopsticks while trying to eat my first meal in Japan.
- My first meal consisted of rice and beef. I felt so out of place. I might as well have tried using my left hand.
89. My favorite sushi order is the Bad Boy Roll from Umi Sake House in Seattle, WA.
- Let's go anytime Monday - Thursday for happy hour. It's only $5.
88. My favorite restaurant is the Grand Luxe Cafe in Las Vegas, NV.
- $9.99 for a large pepperoni pizza after the club is the best.
87. I lived in Las Vegas, NV from 2006 - 2007.
- Some of the best times of my life and I'd do it again. Only thing was, everyone I met was temporary. People were from all over. It was like, making a lot of friends that only lasted a few days.
86. My favorite hotel / casino is The Venetian in Las Vegas.
- One of my favorite clubs in Vegas is Tao which is also located in The Venetian.
85. I've been to the Philippines a lot of times, but two of the trips were for six months. Once in 2005 and another in 2008.
- Hands down best experiences of my life. Both life changing in ways I will never be able to describe to you.
84. My favorite poker hand is 2 - 3 of spades.
- It was also the first hand I was ever dealt when I first learned how to play.
83. I've had 2 sets of roommates in my life. I lived with Matt and Coleman in Vegas then Enrique and Lawrence in Seattle.
- I met Matt and Coleman while playing poker at the Hooters Hotel and Casino. Matt is from Montana and Coleman is from Idaho.
82. My first taste of business was when I was 19 and I helped a friend manage and operate a cell phone accessories stand at the Northgate Mall.
- It was called Cellcessorize located by the food court and our biggest ticket sale was a set of flashing lights that would light up when the phone rang. When the owner wouldn't give us a better share we shut him down. Sound familiar?
81. I got my first cell phone when I was 18 years old.
- I had a custom ring tone. It was, "Next Episode" by Dr. Dre
80. My first cell phone was a Nokia 3390.
- Yes, I loaded mine up with flashing key pads, a set of clear key pads, and one of those stupid stickers that you put on the batter for a "better signal." That was such a scam.
Feel free to ask away. Stay tuned for the next set of 20!
