100 FACTS ABOUT ME | 19 - 1

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
We Takin' Over - DJ Khaled, feat. Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil' Wayne ( http://bit.ly/jRFTrn )

-----

I've been getting requests for a few months now to do a 100 facts about me so I took some time to decide on my top 100.  It took me a few weeks to write out this list so I'll be releasing 20 a week for the month of May so here we go.

19. I’ve been in a movie.
- When I was in the Philippines in 2008 a friend and I were leaving the gym.  We were approached by a talent recruiter and booked us for an extra in a movie.  We both played personal trainers.  The movie is called, "Status: Single."  It was a crazy long day that started at 7AM and we didn't get home until about 2AM.  All that work and waiting and I was only in a few scenes.  I haven't seen this movie yet.

18. If I had to work for someone else, I would work for Live Nation.
- Live Nation Entertainment is the world's leading live entertainment and eCommerce company, comprised of four market leaders: Ticketmaster.com, Live Nation Concerts, Front Line Management Group and Live Nation Network.  They are the largest concert production company in the world.

17. If I could only describe myself in one word, it would be: DRIVEN.
- Once I set a goal, have my eyes set on the target, my heart fully committed, and my physical body is in motion, do not, I repeat, do not get in my way.  Nothing will stop me from attaining and achieving that goal.  People have tried in the past and they have failed.

16. One of my best qualities is the ability to read other people.
- Don't lie to me.  Don't even think about lying to me.  I can smell the lie before you even think of it.  Just tell me the truth.  We'll get along better that way.

15. I make sure I surround myself three types of people: ones who look up to me, ones I see things eye to eye with, and ones I look up to.

14. My favorite quote thought of by someone else is:
- "The man who is anybody and who does anything is surely going to be criticized, vilified, and misunderstood. This is a part of the penalty for greatness, and every great man understands it; and understands, too, that it is no proof of greatness. The final proof of greatness lies in being able to endure contumely without resentment." - Elbert Green Hubbard

13. My favorite personal quote:
- "If you're not gonna dream big, then don't dream at all." - 2006

12. I never complain or make excuses.
- I take every ball life pitches at me like a man.  Whether I strike out or hit a home run, I don't dwell on any one play longer than the other.  I'll learn from a mistake, I'll celebrate a victory but won't spend long hours thinking about either.  Life moves too fast to focus all of my time on one singular event.

11. My three resolutions every year are to be a better son, better brother, and a better friend.
- By being better at these 3 things, hopefully I can be a better person overall.

10. If I only had one day left to live, I would contact everyone I knew and ask them to come over.
- I wouldn't tell them I only had one day left though.  I'd say I wanted to see them because I might be leaving for a while.  The ones who come through are my real friends.  I want people to come because they want to and not because they have to.  It means more.

9. The one person who inspires me the most is my mom.
- Try losing your mom, then your dad a few years later, then your husband a few years after that.  That's what my mom had to go through.  If you haven't met my mom, she should definitely be on your list of someone to have a conversation with before you die.

8. The one single thing that motivates me to do what I do are all the people who think I can’t.
- I love haters.  HATER = Having Anger Toward Everyone Reaching Success.  Hate all you want.  It let's me know I'm doing something you wish you could.  So keep watching.  Your hate just fuels me even more.

7. The most important lesson I’ve learned in life so far is that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
- When you lose someone as close as a parent, life is really put in perspective.  I've lost grandparents, family members, and close friends, but the loss of a parent at a young age is an event that I would never hope on anyone.  After I lost my dad, my "live life to the fullest" motto was multiplied a million times.  I know I'll see my dad again one day.  Until then, I will use the talents that God has given me to share this message to as many people as I can.

6. The biggest dream I have is to be able to change at least one life.
- I live to transform lives, renew hope, and to live love.  In everything I do I hope to accomplish one or all of these things.

5. If I could travel back in time a year, three years, five years, ten years, and give myself advice:
- I wouldn’t give myself any. I’d stay out of my way. The mistakes, lessons, and obstacles were meant to happen so that I could be where I am today.

4. The three values that I represent as a man are honesty, integrity, and respect.
- Everything we do in life is defined by one of these 3 qualities.

3. One thing I’m very grateful for in life is second chances.
- Life through Jesus has given me this chance.  I know what and who I live for.

2. One achievement that I am most proud of is the impact and change I’ve been able to make in people’s lives.
- Thank you for reading this far.  I hope you're one of the few who has a positive memory about me.  If you do, I'd like to hear one or two of them.  If you have a negative memory or impression of me, I hope you can forgive me and I will do whatever it takes to turn that around.  Life is too short for hate.  Let's move forward together.

1. I live with no regrets.

100 FACTS ABOUT ME | 39 - 20

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
We Takin’ Over - DJ Khaled, feat. Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil’ Wayne ( http://bit.ly/jRFTrn )
——-
I’ve been getting requests for a few months now to do a 100 facts about me so I took some time to decide on my top 100.  It took me a few weeks to write out this list so I’ll be releasing 20 a week for the month of May so here we go.

39. I’ve lived in Seattle since I was 2 but I’m still a Filipino citizen.
- When my mom and I first entered the country, they didn’t tell her that she could’ve applied for U.S. Citizenship for me. So my passport is green and every time I go to Canada, I always get asked to come inside for questioning. When I go to the Philippines I can’t stay longer than 6 months or else I would have to re-apply for re-entry into the U.S.

38. My favorite Filipino food dish is beef sinigang.
- Sinigang refers to the dish you cook using the “sigang” method.  Cooking sigang style is to cook with broth and other condiments. When this is prepared correctly, that first sip is always like the first time I’ve had it. I will seriously make a VLOG on this dish as “The Best Thing I’ve Ever Ate.”

37. My favorite Filipino beverage is sago at gulaman.

36. My favorite Filipino dessert is turon with langka and a side of mangoe ice cream.

35. My favorite Filipino beer is Red Horse.

34. My favorite late night eats in the Philippines is a tapsolig restaurant where I usually order corned beef, eggs, rice, and broth for 38 Pesos. ( $1 = 50 Pesos )

33. My favorite athlete is Manny Pacquiao.
- Who else can go 12 rounds, knock out world champions, then go back home and run a country of 80 million people.  When Obama does it, let me know.

32. My favorite burger is a Champ Burger from Jollibee.

31. My favorite drink is Vitamin Water Power.
- My goal is to create a flavor and call it REIGN.

30. My favorite cereal is Cinnamon Toast Crunch.
- I’m eating some right now as I finish this.  The best part though is drinking the milk after you finish the cereal.  It’s like the bonus round haha!

29. My favorite bubble tea flavor is Champagne.
- I’ve only gotten this at the old Yunnie’s in Shoreline on 99.  It doesn’t taste like alcoholic champagne.  It’s more of a bubble gum I would say?  I can’t describe it.  You’ll have to try it for yourself.

28. My favorite fruit is strawberries.
- When I go to Jamba Juice I always get the Strawberries Wild with a protein boost.  When I eat strawberries alone, I like to sprinkle them with brown sugar.  Now that’s good stuff.

27. I smell like:
- Deodorant: AXE Dark Temptation - Chocolate
- Cologne: Armani Black Code
- I started this combo.  Make up your own!

26. My favorite book is the Art of War by Sun Tzu.
- Sun Tzu was a high ranking military general and strategist of the Kingdom of Wu who was active in the late-sixth century BC.  This book is composed of 13 chapters, each of which is devoted to one aspect of warfare, it is said to be the definitive work on military strategies and tactics of its time.
- “A leader leads by example not by force.” - Sun Tzu

25. The first thing I notice about a girl are her eyes.
- She can fake a laugh, get her hair and nails done, put on the make-up, and she can even fake a conversation, but the look in her eyes when you ask her something real can’t be faked.

24. My longest running friend is Josh Ralson.
- Josh and I met at Ridgecrest Elementary school in 4th grade.  We’ve been through a lot together.  Even though we don’t see or talk to each other as often as we’d like, it’s always like old times when we do get together.  Love you man!

23. I’ve never had any major injuries, broken bones, or surgeries.
- Some might say I play life safe, but I say it’s because I don’t have a weak frame.

22. I’ve been hit by a car twice.
- Both times the cars were moving pretty slow and coming to a stop so it wasn’t bad, but still.  The first time was a friend of mine and she was just learning how to drive.  Let’s face it, she was horrible at driving and I just happened to be at the wrong place at the wrong time.  The 2nd time was messed.  I was jogging and I was crossing a 4-Way stop when the lady in a truck was coming to a slow stop and for some reason didn’t see me so she hit me.  I fell backward and went over to the corner.  The crazy driver actually drove off!  Hit and run.  Whoever she is, if something bad happened to her and she can’t explain why, maybe it’s because she hit a pedestrian and drove off.  Nice one.

21. During middle school, my friends and I didn’t have much money.
- A huge group of us would mob to the movie theater and chip in to buy 2 movies tickets. We would then go in one at a time alternating movie stubs to get everyone in.

20. I’m not a businessman, I’m a business, man.

100 FACTS ABOUT ME | 59 - 40

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
We Takin' Over - DJ Khaled, feat. Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil' Wayne ( http://bit.ly/jRFTrn )

100 - 80: ( http://bitly.com/mKn9Br )

I've been getting requests for a few months now to do a 100 facts about me so I took some time to decide on my top 100.  It took me a few weeks to write out this list so I'll be releasing 20 a week for the month of May so here we go

59. Michael Jordan was my favorite basketball player. Kobe Bryant is my favorite current player.
- If you're going to hate on Kobe, give me a better reason than, "He's cocky, he's a ball-hog" blah blah. The best reason I've gotten so far was, "I hate Kobe because he's too damn good."

58. My favorite basketball team is the Los Angeles Lakers.
- If you're going to hate on the Lakers don't hate on them because you hate Kobe. Be a real sports fan. Don't be a punk.

57. My favorite football team is the Seattle Seahawks.
- Go ahead, talk trash. We got robbed of a Super Bowl. I hate the Steelers.

56. I scored a 1380 out of 1600 on my SAT's.
- First try, didn't study. Good enough to get me into UW.

55. I went to Shorecrest High School.
- Met a lot of really cool people there. Because of social networking, I've reconnected with a lot of them over the past few years.

54. My Senior Project was originally to direct and create a short film but halfway into the school year I switched it to producing a hip-hop show / concert.
- We called it "Da Funk Phenomenon." Anthony Manahan from Battalion Entertainment was my mentor.

53. I didn't get accepted to the year book staff.
- I guess I wasn't part of the cool crowd back then. I gotta admit, I was pretty nerdy throughout school. Shoot, I still am. But you know what, I'm not ashamed of that. I love school. I enjoy learning. It's breeds passion and dreaming. If being a manager over 50 people at 20, owning a business at 22, another at 25, starting a non-profit foundation, and building a team over 100 strong, and having a personal network of 50,000 connections is nerdy, then so be it.

52. My friends and I used to play "13" during TAP (Tutorial Activity Period = break) and lunch for money.
- I'll play anyone heads up in 13 or Hold' Em anytime for any stakes. Don't just talk about it, be about it. Put your money where your mouth is.

51. I graduated with a 3.7 GPA.
- I was named the "Industrial Technology Senior of the year" along with other awards. I told you, I took school very seriously. In my SR year I already had enough credits where I only needed to take the required SR classes. When my advisor saw this, she enrolled me in 4 AP classes. Awesome. Hardest school year of my life, but looking back on it now, I want to thank her for putting me through that.

50. I was the first in our district (wouldn't be surprised if it was the state) at the time to beta test and work on the first line of iMac's and Final Cut Pro.
- I have video skills son. I also won 3 film festivals throughout high school. I honestly just don't have the time or resources to focus my energy on video production.

49. I went to the University of WA after high school.
- I thought I wanted to study Computer Science and become a programmer for Microsoft after graduation. I did not enjoy it. In fact, I dislike it a lot.

48. I really wanted to go to the University of Southern CA instead.
- I wanted to study film and become a director. That was my real dream and passion. I guess I'm not directing films, but I am directing shows. I would still like to produce and direct a film one day though.

47. I almost joined the military when I was 20.
- I met with the recruiter and was ready to move forward. My mom didn't want me to do it. End of story.

46. My family helped plant a church in Shoreline, WA.
- My family was one of the eight families who founded and planted the Filipino-American Christian Church in Shoreline, WA.

45. My family was was part of different aspects of the church. We were very involved in our own way at different points of the life of the church.
- My dad was an elder, my mom was part of the worship team and other ministries, my brother played the drums, and I was a youth leader.

44. Earlier this year, this same church "family" who we've known and grown with for almost twenty years black-listed me to the students I once mentored. They met with all the students and parents and told them not to communicate with me anymore. Thumbs up to the biggest group of fakes I've ever known.

43. I was baptized on May 9, 1999 - Mother's Day.
- I found God at a young age and regardless of a shaky walk, I still believe and claim that He is my rock, my salvation, and my savior. As an imperfect Christian, I don't focus my time on trying to look perfect or memorizing BIble verses. That'll never happen. I focus on loving others as God loves us.

42. My father passed away on December 19, 2004.
- He died during church from an aneurysm. I wasn't there to witness it, but from what I was told, he just fell over during worship singing and that was that. Read more here:http://bitly.com/jMQAOL

41. I spent seven total months in the Philippines the following year.
- I started my first business during this time which was a lounge / club in Manila.

40. MADE IN THE PHILIPPINES.
- I love the Philippines. I am proud of my country. I am proud of my culture. I am proud of who I am. I consider myself lucky to have been born a Filipino.

Thanks for reading ya'll. Look out for the next set!

100 FACTS ABOUT ME | 79 - 60

CURRENTLY LISTENING TO:
We Takin' Over - DJ Khaled, feat. Akon, T.I., Fat Joe, Rick Ross, Birdman, Lil' Wayne ( http://bit.ly/jRFTrn )

100 - 80: ( http://bitly.com/mKn9Br )

-----

I've been getting requests for a few months now to do a 100 facts about me so I took some time to decide on my top 100.  It took me a few weeks to write out this list so I'll be releasing 20 a week for the month of May so here we go.

79. My first cell phone provider was Cingular and my number was 206.240.8810.
- I met someone this past weekend in Vegas and apparently we talked business years ago because he had this number saved in his phone. Crazy. I brought this number with me from Cingular to T-Mobile to Sprint and back to T-Mobile until 2009 when I switched to Verizon and changed my number. I recently switched to Boost Mobile and only pay $66 after tax for unlimited everything. Verizon likes to stick it to people. $135 a month is crazy.

78. My first job was an after-school tutor during my SR year in high school.
- I tutored this kid from my church. HIs name was Dj. That kid didn't want to do anything. He was like a real life cartoon character.

77. I take that back. My first job was babysitting Billy Pierluizzi during the summers throughout high school.
Good times with this guy. I've seen him grow from a small annoying kid who wanted to look at all my baseball cards to a grown man. I support you in everything you do man. Even when no one else will or has, I've always had your back.

76. I worked at Subway for one day and got a free sandwich and a $5 tip out of it.
- It was the Subway in Shoreline on 15th. After that one day, I knew I could never be in any sort of restaurant or food service job. Ever.

75. I worked at Best Buy as a manager for 3 years.
- I started as a holiday, "occasional-seasonal" part-time employee. I was asked to stay on full-time after the holiday season, and shortly after was managing the computer department. Shortly after I was managing both the computer sales and tech department.

74. I got my first car when I was 20.
- I drove around in my dad's Dodge Caravan for a bit or got rides.

73. My first car was a 2002 Lexus IS 300 and I paid for it myself.
- The minute I saw it, I knew I wanted it. So I worked my ass off and got it.

72. I still have and drive my first car.
- A lot of good memories in this car. My longest trip in it was from Las Vegas to Seattle back in 2007. By myself. The trip is about 18 hours non-stop. It took me exactly 18 hours with 2 sleep breaks and food breaks. I was literally going 130 mph on cruise control. On my way to Vegas I hit a rabbit and had to dodge a tree that was in the middle of the road.

70. My first ticket was because of speeding (45 in a 30) in my parents mini-van in Lynnwood on the way to the gym.
- When I was in the Philippines in 2008 my license was suspended because of unpaid tickets. I of course didn't know this happened and found out the hard way when a cop pulled me over for having too dark of a tint. Minutes later there was an extra police car and I was being cuffed and put in the back of a cop car. Shoreline cops don't get enough action so they like to make a scene over routine things. Maggots.

69. I've had a 24 Hour Fitness membership for about 8 years.
- When I first signed up, I pre-paid for 3 years so now all I need to do is pay $99 every January which covers my entire year. Sick deal.

68. I was 120lbs before I started seriously working out. I am currently 180lbs with 11% body fat. My goal is 170lbs with 8% body fat.
- I gave up sports when I got into working out. Playing soccer year round gave me shin splints. I couldn't run as fast or as long so I had to quit. I refused to come off the bench. My old friend DJ introduced lifting to my life.

67. I take my health and fitness seriously. I exercise five days a week. I take Sunday and Thursday off.
- I think it's funny how people try to use this as a joke against me. I didn't know being in shape, having a lot of energy, having a good physique, being confident, not ever getting sick, being dominant, and being jacked was something to joke about.

66. I never bring my cell phone into the gym.
- It's one of the only places I can be alone with no distractions. I want to go into the gym focused so I can make the most of that hour and 30 minutes. I never go longer than that. I have a set game plan so I can have a really efficient workout while maximizing the time I'm in there.

65. My diet rule is seven out of ten.
- Meaning, seven out of every ten meals I eat need to be health conscious.

64. My first and last meal of the day is a homemade shake / blend containing:
- 1 cup fat free milk
- 1 banana
- 5 tablespoons of oatmeal
- 1 serving of yogurt
- 1 tablespoon of peanut butter
- handful of frozen berries
I have this every morning, right after a workout, and at night a few hours before sleeping.

63. My post-workout meal includes boiled eggs and tuna.
- I like to mix it together with a little bit of light mayo then I put it on bread and toast it in a small toaster oven.

62. I started playing baseball and soccer (outdoor and indoor) when I was 9 until I graduated from high school.
- I scored 5 goals in a game once. I scored 27 goals in a season once. I loved soccer. Every time I drive by a soccer field I wish I could still play. I would get so smoked out there if I tried to play now. Not even funny.

61. Ken Griffey JR. was my favorite baseball player growing up.
- I tried to play just like him. I even copied his "home run walk."

60. I have a ton of Griffey's collector memorabilia.
- I have over 100 of his baseball cards, a signed baseball, a jersey, a bat, and loads of other things. Griffey is the man.

Thanks for reading ya'll. Look out for the next set!
